2013 Run Your Heart Out 5K/Credit: Potomac River Running

Run with someone you love on Sunday.

Reston-based Leidos and Potomac River Running are teaming up for the Valentine’s Day-themed Run Your Heart Out 5K in Reston. Race proceeds will go to support the American Heart Association for research, education, advocating for better heart health, improving patient care and reaching populations at risk.

Here is what you need to know:

  • Race begins at 9 a.m. at South Lakes High School, 11400 South Lakes Dr.
  • Walkers are welcome
  • Register online through Friday ($35) or at packet pickup Saturday at PR Running at Reston Town Center or at race site on Sunday (both $40).
  • Course starts and finishes at SLHS and includes Reston Association trails.
  • Wear layers: Sunday morning temperatures are expected to be about 20 degrees.
