Giving Circle of HOPE Gives Out $73K in Grants

Giving Circle of Hope/Photo courtesy of Giving CircleReston’s Giving Circle of HOPE has awarded more than $73,000 to local organizations in the 2014 grant cycle, the non-profit announced.

Giving Circle of HOPE is a grassroots group that was started in 2004 to promote volunteerism and effective philanthropy.

This is the eleventh grant cycle for the group, which now has  more than 150 members.

Members seek to make a difference by contributing their time, talents and money and collectively deciding how to use those resources to positively impact the local community.

  • Friends of Guest House
  • Grace Ministries
  • Herndon Village Network
  • Just Neighbors
  • La Cocina Virginia
  • Our Daily Bread
  • SCAN of Northern Virginia

Since its founding, the Giving Circle has awarded over $820,000 through its grant program, Empty Bowls fundraiser, and Gifts That Give Hope alternative gift fair.
