Now Open: Reston Town Center Ice Skating Pavilion

Reston Town Center sakting rinkSign of the season: Reston Town Center’s outdoor skating rink is now open.

The rink, located in the RTC Pavilion, is open daily (11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday through Thursday; 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday) through mid-March. Visit the skating pavilions website for additional extended holiday hours.

The skate shop (adjacent to the rink) is stocked with over 500 pairs of skates ranging from toddler to men’s size 13, in both figure and hockey styles. Beginning skaters can try the double-bladed, flat edge skates to walk across the ice until they are ready for single-blade skates.

Costs:

  • Adult Admission: $10
  • Youth (under 12) /Senior (55+)/Military Admission: $9
  • Skate Rentals: $5
  • 10 Admission Pass: $85
  • Season Pass: $195
  • Family Season Pass: $395

On Nov. 4 and 5, the pavilion will host the annual Character Counts! fundraiser. Reston’s Character Counts! program will receive 50 percent of skating proceeds to support character and citizenship development in schools and the community. Rain dates: November 11 and 12.
