Reston Swimmer Vying for Spot on Olympic Swim Team

Reston Swim Team Association and Herndon High swimmers will have their eyes on the U.S. Olympic Swim Trials in Omaha today and Friday, where swimmer Emily Meilus is competing for a spot on the team.

Meilus, a rising senior at HHS and a previous Washington Post All-Met selection, swims for the Lake Anne Stingrays.

Meilus will be competing in the 100m backstroke (Monday) and the 200m backstroke (Friday).

Meilus swam in the Lake Anne vs. Lake Audubon meet in Reston on Saturday before leaving for Omaha.
