Police: Teens Were Shooting at Vehicles on Route 7 with BB Gun

DWI enforcement police vehicle (Photo via Fairfax County Police Department)Police in both Fairfax and Loudoun counties say a group of teens was shooting pellets at vehicles on Leesburg Pike (Va. Route 7) overnight.

According to the Fairfax County Police Department, officers from the Reston District Station reported at about 4 a.m. to the area of Middleton Ridge Road after a report of a car being fired upon by a BB gun. Police checked the area and found a car matching provided suspect information. Police say five teenage boys inside the car allegedly were involved.

The Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office, meanwhile, reports a related incident in the area of Dranesville Road. They say a vehicle in that area suffered minor damage.

The FCPD officers apprehended the teens. According to LCSO, they were released to the custody of their parents.

No one was injured in either of the incidents. Charges and juvenile petitions are pending.
