Crime Roundup: Herndon Man Arrested In Connection with Stabbing

A 20-year-old suspect was arrested in connection with a stabbing on May 31.

Fairfax County police charged Herndon resident Denis Alexander Castillo Hernandez with aggravated malicious assault. The victim was taken to Reston Hospital in life-threatening condition. The incident occurred on the 1300 block of Parcher Avenue, police said.

In a separate incident, Anthony Devine, 27, of Reston, was charged with driving under the influence, refusal to take a breath test and obstruction of justice. According to the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office, Devine was driving over the speed limit near Route 28 and Nokes Boulevard on June 2 around 2:41 a.m. He is being held at the Loudoun County Adult Detention Center without bond.

2300 block of Soapstone Drive, license plate from vehicle

11600 block of Stoneview Square, license plate from vehicle

2700 block of Viking Drive, property from vehicle
