Crime Roundup: Police Say Herndon Man Followed Girl into Public Bathroom

Local law enforcement officials believe a man followed a young girl into a women’s bathroom at a restaurant and attempted to kiss her.

Edward Nieves-Castro, 25, of Herndon, was arrested and charged with assault and battery. Sheriff’s deputies believe the incident occurred on around 11:30 p.m. on July 7 in the 200 block of Free Court in Sterling, according to the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office.

The girl ran around the suspect and went to her table. Her mother filed a report about the incident.

The Fairfax Police Department also reported the following incidents in recent days:

LARCENIES:

 2400 block of Founders Way, hard drive from residence

1800 block of Fountain Drive, wallet from business

11500 block of Hearthstone Court, cat from residence

 STOLEN VEHICLES:

 None reported

In a separate incident, Loudoun County sheriff’s deputies spotted a driver slumped over the steering wheel of a car near Tolbert Lane and Sycolin Road in Leesburg.

Anthry Milla Jr., 24, of Herndon, was arrested and charged with public intoxication. He was released from the Loudoun County Adult Detention Center on an unsecured bond.
