Voters in Fairfax County will have more options to cast ballots beginning Oct. 14.
While long lines have plagued the Fairfax County Government Center since early voting began, 13 satellite voting locations will open on that day.
Additionally, a secure drop-off box will be available at the North County Government Center, which is located at 1801 Cameron Glen Drive, on. Oct. 14. Other drop-off boxes will be available at early voting sites during early voting hours only.Â
The Virginia General Assembly allowed drop-off boxes in anticipation of increased demand for absentee voting in this election. Ballots can be returned at any election site from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m.
In-person early absentee voting will run through Oct. 31.
