Fairfax County, VA — June 9, — Heritage Fellowship Church donated 1,050 books to Title 1 schools in Fairfax County and Loudoun Counties to support students’ reading and proficiency during summer vacation yesterday.
Led by Reverend Dustin B. Sullivan, Heritage Fellowship Church is a non-denominational congregation, located in Reston, Virginia with over 1,000 members from Fairfax and Loudoun Counties.
“These donations allow Heritage to fulfill our mission of, “Connecting Christ, Congregation and Community,” said Reverend Sullivan.
Fairfax County Public Schools Assistant Superintendent, Region 1. Dr. Douglas Tyson, principal Teresa Fennessy, school librarian Sarah Richardson, and reading specialist Grace Choi accepted the books on behalf of Herndon Elementary. Park View High school librarian Kathleen Britto and reading specialist Laura Gray were present to accept the books on behalf of Park View High School.
“Through our partnerships with Herndon Elementary and Park View High School, Heritage is honored and blessed to support public educators as we provide enriching education opportunities for youth,” said Reverend Sullivan.
