The word “tuin” is the Nepali name given to the steel rope hanging over a river used as a crude bridge. This system of crossing rivers is very common in remote areas of Nepal. It is also extremely dangerous. Based on a true story, the film “Tuin” chronicles a tragic accident involving children on their way to school. Told through the eyes of one of the survivors, “Tuin” is an unforgettable depiction of the harsh realities of rural life in Nepal.
This film is presented with promotional support from Washington West Film Festival.
