Could Reston Be Home to an Innovative Nursing Home?

Reston Community Center Hunters Woods

RESTON, Virginia 20191

In 2014 Reston will lose its only Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Cameron Glen Nursing & Rehab.

Losing this option will mean that Reston will no longer be able to offer the full continuum of care to our elders and people with disabilities.

What if our community could replace this with Nursing Home that you actually wanted to live in and visit?

February 12 from 2 – 4 p.m. at Reston Community Center Hunters Woods

Our panel will introduce us to this innovative concept and how we might work towards one of these homes in Reston.

A Green House home is created from the ground up to foster the same feeling and experience you get from living in a real home. Each home is designed for 10-12 residents, keeping it flexible and maintaining a warm
feel. The comfort of private rooms and bathrooms are combined
with the family-like atmosphere of open common spaces. And, and innovative staff model given residents four times more contact and reduces staff turnover.
