A Once in a Lifetime Volunteer Opportunity
for 4,000 VOLUNTEERS!
Come to this session and learn how you can be a part of the excitement this summer as Fairfax County hosts the 16th biennial World Police & Fire Games, one of the largest multi-sport multi-venue events in the world. The competition, expecting 12,000 police, firefighter and public safety athletes from 70 countries will be held June 26 to July 5, 2015 in 61 sports at 53 venues throughout Fairfax County and the National Capital Region.
Reston will host 10 of the sports competitions and the Reston Town Center will be the Games Village, the center of WPFG activity and special events!
4,000 VOLUNTEERS are needed in multiple areas ranging from greeting athletes and spectators, assisting with medal ceremonies and assisting athletes at the transportation hubs to blogging for the communications team, setting up the decorative Look at each venue and checking in athletes at the Games Village in Reston … and much more! There’s a role for everyone to be a part of this exciting event. All VOLUNTEERS must be 18 years old by July 6, 2015.
