A photography exhibition at the Great Falls, Va. library, 9830 Georgetown Pike.
This exhibition includes my impressions of the City of Light.
A special feature of the collection is a series of street portraits, seven Parisians in the fifth arrondissement of Paris. The cafés along the Place de la Contrescarpe are famed for the artists and writers who once chose them as haunts.
I like street photography. It forces me to get out from behind the viewfinder and engage with people who interesting. In Paris I saw people with self confidence, style, and strength.
This is my third photography exhibition. Previous shows and projects have focused on Venice, midcoast Maine, Havana, old-time diners, and drive-in movie theaters. My work has also been juried into four statewide photography shows.
