Reston Holiday Parade, Tree Lighting, and Sing Along

Reston Town Center

11900 Market Street

Reston, Virginia 20190

Reston Town Center will launch the festive season with the 23rd annual Reston Holiday Parade on Friday, November 29 at 11:00 a.m. With Macy’s-style balloons, musicians, dancers, antique cars, characters, community groups, dignitaries, special guest emcees, and much more, it’s full of entertainment for the whole family. This one-of-a-kind, one-hour, half-mile parade along Market Street also welcomes the arrival of Santa and Mrs. Claus in a horse-drawn carriage. Since 1991, rain or shine, it has been an annual tradition on the day after Thanksgiving. Every year a different theme is selected, and in recognition of the new Silver Line arriving in Reston, the 2013 Reston Holiday Parade will focus on transportation with the title “Destination: Reston!”. After the parade, Santa will stay for visits and photos until 4:30 p.m., and everyone is invited to enjoy the Tree Lighting and community Sing Along at 6:00 p.m. in Fountain Square.
