Bright Horizons Child Care Opening Center in Reston

This is a promoted post by Bright Horizons Family Solutions.

Bright Horizons Family Solutions® is excited to announce that they will be opening a new state-of-the-art child care center at 11400 Commerce Park Dr. The new center will serve families in Reston and the surrounding communities.

The new center’s opening will allow area working parents the opportunity to balance their work and family life, while providing high-quality early education for their children.

Bright Horizons at Commerce Metro Center will serve 164 children and will offer Infant, Toddler, Twos, Preschool, and Kindergarten Prep programs.

The center’s features include a Movement Matters Zone complete with rock climbing wall and ballet barre; STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) Lab; playground; SMART Board; touchscreen computers, high-quality curriculum, and more. The center will offer full-time child care as well as drop-in/back-up care on a space available basis.

Bright Horizons’ unique curriculum for children, The World at Their Fingertips®, focuses on each child’s social, physical, emotional, and cognitive development.

The World at Their Fingertips encompasses engaging programs, such as Language Works, Math Counts, and Science Rocks, to teach children the basic language, math, and science skills which will prepare them for future academic excellence.

Their Growing Readers program also emphasizes the importance of early literacy and provides parents with information about language development and books of excellence for their children.

“All of our programs are geared to teach language, literacy, math, science, and social skills children need for elementary school,” said center director Jyotsna Awasthi. “We know graduates from our centers have greater success in kindergarten and beyond. We are also able to help parents incorporate learning experiences in their children’s home life.”

In addition to its rich curriculum, Bright Horizons is committed to educating children about nutrition, physical activity, and the importance of leading a healthy lifestyle.

In collaboration with The Partnership for a Healthier America (PHA), the nonpartisan organization that supports efforts to solve the childhood obesity challenge, Bright Horizons has made a commitment to serve as an open model as they continue to focus extraordinary efforts on promoting healthy habits for the children they care for every day.

“Our Movement Matters Zone, which will have a ballet barre and rock climbing wall, will truly help our children create healthy habits which will last a lifetime,” said Awasthi. “It is an honor to stand with PHA as advocates for children and their health.”
