Collections for Christmas Tree Recycling End on Jan. 12

As the first week of 2018 winds down, it’s time to get rid of your Christmas tree.

If you receive Fairfax County curbside pickup of trash and recycling, you can recycle your live Christmas tree on your normal collection date during the first two weeks of January.

The last day of collections is Jan. 12. All lights, decorations and stand must be removed from the tree in order to ensure collection. After Jan. 12, all brush pickups must be scheduled by calling 703-803-3322.

If you are in a private Reston cluster, check with your cluster board or trash service provider to find out specifics for your neighborhood.
