Tysons-Based Newspaper Publisher Sues Google — “Gannett Co. Inc. (NYSE: GCI) said Tuesday it has sued Google and parent company Alphabet Inc. (NASDAQ: GOOGL), alleging ‘monopolization of advertising technology markets and deceptive commercial practices.’” The lawsuit “alleges Google and Alphabet force publishers ‘to sell growing shares of that ad space to Google at depressed prices,’” reducing revenue for newspaper publishers.
