Kudos For Armstrong Crossing Guard — Reston’s Phyllis Krapf, a crossing guard at Armstrong Elementary School, has been recognized by the Virginia Department of Transportation as one of Virginia’s Most Outstanding Crossing Guards of 2013. Krapf works the Lake Newport Road crossing and is praised for going above and beyond her job, coming in early to make sure students can cross safely and looking out for families who are running late.
