Tuesday will feature two big World Police & Fire Games events at Reston’s Lake Fairfax Park: Rugby, 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Cross Country running, 7 a.m. to 11 a.m.

Meanwhile, Ice Hockey continues all day at Reston SkateQuest.

There are many other events today around Fairfax County. Most of them are free and open to the pubic. Check the Fairfax 2015 Master Schedule.

The Athletes Village at Reston Town Center is in full swing. As of mid-day Monday, at least one parking garage at RTC was full, so plan accordingly if you have plans there.

Earlier:

Fairfax County’s Honor Guards took first and second in competition at Reston Town Center.

Fairfax County Police Office Holly Melendez won gold in weightlighting (30-39 year old 67 kg or less).

Did you know you can catch video clips of activities from throughout the Games on our YouTube channel? Check it out at Fairfax2015 YouTube Channel.

  • reston is changing

Photo credit should mention that the two DJ’s pictured are Hardwell and Armin Van Buuren. Respectively, the #1 and #3 DJ’s in the world. I guess nobody’s too big for Reston!

  • Cluster Tycoon

I hate amplified music. When is music going to be going back to normal with instruments that do not require anything but skill? Are the 60s going to last forever? When is this nerve wrecking, no communications allowed, dumb down beat going to stop? Are even the cops and fire fighters now hell bent on leather to support this insanity? This is sooooo stupid. Every retail outlet now plays dumb s* 24/7. Sorry but someone had to say it.

  • John Higgins

Thousands of visitors from across the country and around the world. Their event focused right here in Reston. And not just any group, men and women who are dedicated to serving others (us). A great opportunity to show our appreciation and showcase our community. So far, only the RTC has lifted a finger in that regard. Sad.
