Fountain at Town Square Park, Reston Town Center

After more than a year of being closed for repairs, the splash fountain in Town Square Park at Reston Town Center is back up and running.

The fountain, located in front of The Avant apartments and Barcelona restaurant is available for youngsters to walk through to cool off on a hot summer day.

New bonus: bartaco across the street sells gelato cones to go that you can take back to the park.

if sheet lady lays down in the middle of that fountain is she taking a shower or doing her laundry?

At 54, I think I hardly qualify as a “youngster” although i’m a bit more playful than most of my peers.

They call that “Free Enema Fountain”.

Absolute WORST park in the county, of any type. I call it The Dog Toilet. Just … gross, in that regard. Design is bad as well. So much of the space is not useable for anything. Tear it up and re-do it. Then keep the pets put.

Things have improved much since 2015. They’ve torn down the interesting living art, so now that’s replaced with a nice empty spot. They haven’t added any annoying playgrounds to sit idle, so us DINKs can walk our dogs without having to listen to those skin pets making noise. And finally, the splash fountain was closed this past Fourth of July, a sweltering hot day, to pay tribute to all of us without beating hearts.
