No Olympics For Melius — Local swimmer Emily Melius finished 94th in preliminaries for the 200M Backstroke at Friday’s U.S. Olympic Swimming Trials in Omaha Friday, so she did not earn a spot on the 2016 Summer Olympic Team. Earlier last week, she also swam the 100M Back, but finished deep in the pack. Meilus swims for Herndon High, RSTA’s Lake Anne Stingrays and the Machine Swim Club.
