Mayuri at Hunters Woods Appears Closed for Good

by Karen Goff July 20, 2016 at 10:00 am 8 Comments

Mayuri, the Indian buffet restaurant at Hunters Woods Village Center, appears to be closed.

The restaurant originally said the shutdown was temporary. But that was more than two months ago and there have been few signs of activity at the business, where mail is piled up inside the front door.

Restaurant management put a sign on the door in May saying the location was closing for maintenance.

The restaurant has been at Hunters Woods for about 10 years.

Meanwhile, a call to Mayuri gets a recording saying the “mailbox is not in service.”

Ming ate there frequently, and will miss the tasty buffet.

Always had plenty of patrons when I was there… hard to believe it wasn’t doing well enough to survive.

I’m surprised that Ming would venture over to that part of town.

      • Ming the Merciless

Ming considers all humans equally brutish and stupid, not just those who live in a particular neighborhood.

Cases of diarrhea should rapidly decrease around the area, this place was awful.

      Your colon is weak.

I feel bad for any business leaving Hunters Woods. Hint: When Dairy Queen first opened on the plaza years ago, there was an instantaneous rise in traffic at the plaza. But the prices were also reasonable.

I miss the DQ but Jersey Mike’s has been a nice addition.

That was my favorite Indian food in the area… Anyone have suggestions for another place?
