Fairfax County Police A Reston man was charged with a Felony DUI — at least his fifth offense in the last five years — on Tuesday after he crashed his car into a creek and walked away from the scene, the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office says.

Deputies were called to the scene at Algonkian Parkway and
Rutherford Circle in Sterling close to midnight.

A witness told officials male driver exited the vehicle andwalked away from the scene towards a footpath.

The driver was later located and identified as Marc A. Dixon, 31, of Reston.

Dixon was arrested and charged with misdemeanor hit and run and Felony DUI. Dixon has been charged with multiple DUI in the last five years, according to LCSO. He is being held at the Loudoun County Adult Detention Center without bond.

In 2014, Dixon was arrested for driving his car backwards down Rugby Road in Fairfax. During that arrest, Dixon provided false information as well as kicked the door and window of the police vehicle he was in, Fairfax County Police said.

In that incident, Dixon was charged with DUI (fourth offense), refusing breath test, fraudulent information to police, destruction of county property, driving while suspended (DUI related) and improper backing on the highway.

Having walked away, shouldn’t he have been charged with “hit and walk”?

Mr. Dixon is trying to tell us something. He wants to kill some people. Are we listening? Or shall we give him another shot at it?

Agree – Why does this guy still have a license?????? If he’s allowed to be on the roads, he needs a breathalizer/ignition device installed in his car. But really, he should not be allowed to have a license at this point.

This guy is just an all around bad dude. No redeeming qualities. Rap sheet is extensive to include FOUR MORE DUI related cases, assault on law enforcement, obtaining money under false pretenses, property damage, assault and battery and more going back to 2005. He’s also associated with Colvin Morris, an individual murdered in Reston in 2011.

Why was this man out in the first place, after so many DUIs? After two or three, he should have been in detox. He clearly needs some help with alcohol use. Any more DUIs than that, and he should have been in jail – or forcibly checked into a detox/addiction facility for a few years. He’s a menace to society, driving around drunk frequently.
