Fairfax County Police A woman told police a man with a knife attempted to abduct her as she was getting into her car on Wednesday afternoon at Reston Town Center.

Fairfax County Police said the woman was parked in the parking garage at Freedom and Fountain Drives about 3:30 p.m.

A man approached the victim and displayed a knife. The victim screamed loudly; she shouted for help and the suspect walked away, police said.

Officers were able to identify a suspect and obtained a warrant for Derrion M. l.ewis, 27, of Herndon, charging him with abduction.

Police, citing a pending case, did not give details on whether the suspect and victim knew one another or how they identified the suspect so quickly.

Officers have attempted to serve the warrant, but Lewis could not be located. The warrant is on file. The victim did not require medical attention.

    A) What in the actual F&%!
    B) Does the dude know the woman? Because it seems weird he’d be hanging out in the garage at 3:30 on a Wednesday with a knife just waiting for anybody to walk by
    C) The article doesn’t clarify how they know it was an attempted abduction- it just says he brandished a knife

“A woman told police a man with a knife attempted to abduct her as she was getting into her car.”

Glad she is OK, but clearly this wouldn’t have happened if there was pay parking.

    • Edward Calvert

Exactly what I thought. That virtual escort tool !

    • June Smith

I seriously doubt that – when people want to commit a crime, they don’t care if the garage is paid parking or not … they probably wouldn’t pay for parking on their way out anyway …. since the police can’t find him to arrest him – I’m pretty sure Boston Properties won’t be able to find him either

You and your friend Ed sound like BP propaganda posters.

      • Generic User

        Sarcasm…..Google it.

      • Edward Calvert

Well no, I was being sarcastic
Ditto to checking my prior comments on this page about BP

        • Thia

Ah. I’ve not been on this page before. I have a bunch of friend at Leidos, which is now in RTC and they posted this article. I misunderstood your humor for a serious comment and never saw your comments about BP on other articles. Have a great night and sorry!

          • June Smith

            Me too, Ed!

          • Generic User

Everything is always about Ed. Ed, Ed, Ed.

          • Edward Calvert

            Cool !

    • Thia

I call BS on this. You can walk into a parking garage without paying and vandalize cars, abduct people, etc. It says “the suspect walked away” not “hopped into his car in an overpriced parking garage and drove away”. You two clearly work for Boston Properties.

      • Edward Calvert

I just thought it would be a nice addition to the stalker string…..sheesh…glad she was ok g

        • Thia

I commented on another of our comments. Totally misunderstood your point. 🙂

    • DrBee

Are you all seriously having this much trouble recognizing that Generic User was being sarcastic?

  • John Pinkman

Karen, I would be interested to know how the police made the arrest so quickly,

    • LC

I’m inclined to think she knew her attacker because that is some pretty quick police work otherwise!

    • June Smith

The police got a warrant to make an arrest – they did NOT arrest him.

“officers attempted to serve the warrant, but Lewis could not be located.”

  • Why do you bother?

They know who he is, and he “walked away” but they can’t find him? Fabulous.
