South Lakes Seahaws Win Regional Quarterfinals, Advance to Semifinals  Congratulations to the varsity football team from South Lakes, who beat Centreville High 22-20 Friday night to win the Virginia 6A North regional quarterfinals. It was a close game, with South Lakes down 14-0 at one point, but they made a “wild” comeback in the second half. Next, the Seahawks face Lake Braddock in the semifinals on Saturday at 1:30 p.m. at Lake Braddock. [South Lakes Athletics]

Think Ahead: Holiday Camp Planned Week Before Christmas  Fairfax County Public Schools are slated to let out on Dec. 16 this year, which means for working parents, it can be a scramble figuring out child care for that last week of work before the holidays. Reston Association has a number of Holiday Break Camps for children ages 5-11 years old, and registration is now open through WebTrac. [Reston Association/WebTrac]

The quality of the information posted on this blog is deteriorating fast, e.g. it takes 60 hours to post the results of the SLHS play-off game?

By Monday morning, anyone interested has already gone to the SLHS website to find out the result.

And the regurgitating of press releases a “news” is a turn-off.

I used to check out this blog multiple times per day. Recently, I’ve actually gone a week without checking this site.
