Severe Thunderstorm Watch Issued for Fairfax County

The National Weather Service has issued a severe thunderstorm watch through 9 p.m. today.

Wind gusts of up to 75 miles per hour are possible, as well as torrential rain, lightning, and hail, according to the Capital Weather Gang.

Scattered thunderstorms are expected throughout the weekend, with a break expected on Tuesday when cloudy conditions are possible.
