Fox 5 DC will broadcast their morning show live from the Reston Town Center Pavilion on Friday (June 22) from 6-11 a.m.

The show is part of the channel’s “zip trip” series, which takes viewers to a new city every Friday in the DMV region through Labor Day weekend.

Reston is the fifth community to be featured on the series, joining Anacostia in District, Laurel in Maryland and Alexandria.

The following individuals, organizations and businesses are scheduled to appear on the show:

Great opportunity for Fox to discuss how so many Restonians are staying away from RTC since they implemented paid parking. Fox could have a whole segment on that. Perhaps a representative of Boston Properties could be interviewed with the owner of any one of the several businesses that have been forced to close their doors.

According to their website, the new Balducci’s that opened there today has free 2 hour parking in the Silver Garage.

Fox certainly picked a quiet place.
Boston Properties has driven out customers and visitors alike, as well as 15 stores so far.
It would be great to see protesters waving anti-BP signs on regional TV!

    Ohhh, Fox! Ohhh, oohhh, ooooohhhhhhhh!!

Will Fox have to pay for parking ?

  • Paid parking

In my mind paid parking is like corporate welfare: businesses get to write off their parking expenses while the locals are supporting them with taxes and adding insult to injury, paid parking.

    • Vought

RTC is not funded by any taxes. It’s all privately funded by Boston Properties. Took me 2 minutes to find that with Google.

  • Why do you bother?

Oh, good – I get to avoid two despicable things at one time: Faux News and RTC.

  • John B

It’ll be a fluff piece. Too bad they won’t bring any journalists to honestly report on the real state of the RTC.
