Police Search for Man Who Sexually Assaulted Woman Near Harris Teeter

Local police are looking for a man who sexually assaulted a 49-year-old woman on June 11.

The woman told investigators she was attacked by a man she briefly spoke with at Harris Teeter in the Spectrum Center at around 11 p.m.. The woman said the man hit her from the back as she walked along a path away from the grocery store.

The woman was treated for her injuries at a local hospital. Local police were unable to locate the victim’s cellphone and belongings, which were left in the area, according to court documents.

The suspect is described as a white male who is between 50 and 60-years old. He has a skinny build, gray wavy hair, light colored eyes, a wrinkled face and possibly wears glasses.
