Virginia Is Now Tracking Evictions — “After several years of attention-grabbing reports on high eviction rates in Virginia, the state has begun collecting data on the number and location of evictions that occur over the course of a year. Metro Reports Drop in Fare Evasions With New Gates — “Higher faregates that Metro installed at several stations have reduced fare evasion by more than 70%, according to data Metro released Tuesday.” The project to retrofit all stations is “expected to take about 15 months and cost between $35 million and $40 million.” [DCist]
