Election 2013: How Reston Voted

Election Day 2013

Terry McAuliffe (D) will be Virginia’s next governor after narrowly defeating Republican Ken Cuccinelli by less than two percentage points (47.75 to 45.27)  on Tuesday.

In Fairfax County,  McAuliffe earned 58 percent of the votes, Cuccinelli, 36 percent and Libertarian Robert Sarvis, 5 percent.

In Reston, McAuliffe won every precinct. Here is a precinct-by-precinct look at how Reston voted, with number of votes and percentage points:

Cuccinelli –  260 (24 %); McAuliffe 761 (71 %); Sarvis 50 (4 %)

Cuccinelli –  324  (22 %); McAuliffe 1,018 (71 %); Sarvis 67 (4 %)
