Man Badly Burned in Reston Kitchen Fire Monday

Fairfax County Fire RescueAn elderly man suffered second-degree burns in a kitchen accident in Reston on Monday night, Fairfax County Fire and Rescue officials said.

The 77-year-old was taken by medical helicopter to Medstar Washington Hospital Center with life-threatening injuries, said fire rescue spokesman Lt. Dan Schmidt.

Fire and Rescue officials are not releasing the location of the incident to protect the privacy of the victim, said Schmidt.
