Scam Alert — The Herndon Police Department is advising residents of an ongoing scam where the caller claims to be collecting money for back taxes, and threatens arrest if the taxes and fines are not paid. In a recent calls the scam artist used a technique known as “caller ID spoofing” to make it appear the call is coming from the Herndon Police Department or another law enforcement agency. New Kids’ Area At Dulles — Dulles International Airport has a new “Fun Way” kids play area. The Fun Way is now open in Concourse B, near gate B70. There are climbing attractions inspired by aviation-themed structures, including “Tommy Tower,” modeled after Dulles International’s air traffic control tower. [Dulles International Airport]
