Wiehle’s posted speed limits and speed warning signs are obeyed by no one. Turning from Inlet and/or Fairway is incredibly dangerous. Posted limit at the Lake Anne dam is 20 MPH in the “slow” zone, painted on the road, yet highway speeds abound. I hope the drivers and passengers are ok.

I can vouch for the he11-raising right turn at the end of Fairway. I lived there. Can’t see left and it’s at the top of the hill and on a curve. And, yes, Wiehle is a speedway! Wasn’t there just an accident one night about 18 months ago at Inlet where they closed the road for a bit?

We who live here know how dangerous this intersection is. Blind corner. School and Connector bus stops. Drivers who think they are on the Beltway, Drivers drifting out of their lanes, At my bustop on the corner, I always stand as far as possible from the road.

I lived on Inlet for a number of years, until twenty-odd years ago, and it was a horribly blind, very dangerous intersection back then with school bus stops often on Wiehle. I would hope that the county would finally improve visibility and/or straighten out the stretch between Inlet and the walkover bridge after this!
