Poll: What Would You Like to See More of on Reston Now?

Reston Now is looking to diversify its coverage in order to increase the depth of stories and become more responsive to our readership.

We would love to learn more about what you would like to see us cover. We welcome suggestions and tips via email at [email protected].

  • Wings!!

I’d like to see a Hooters open up in Reston.

  • Donald

    Basically everything you’re providing now.

But, please reach out to stakeholders for their comments on the story. Call the RA board (not their director of communications), call Hudgins’ office, the P&Z Chair, the police precinct Captain, any affected parties, etc.

It is quite informative when the parties respond, and doubly informative, when they refuse to comment.

    • Reston Now

      Thanks for the feedback, Donald.

      • Mike M

        Was that an option?

  • Mike M

Less censorship of comments that are not out of bounds of the rules. This is new to Reston Now.

I wish you could pick multiples out of that list. With one choice you lose a lot of the value of people’s second and third choices in what is a very long list. You may find that one or two things show up consistently in the top two or top three. I would think you would want to know that.

    • Richard

Note the point that zero percent of respondents are interested in more reader comments.

      • Mike M

Note the point that I really enjoy engaging my neighbors in here. I think you do too. I would note that people come here for the content first AND the comments second. That crude survey allowed ONE thing of which people wanted more. I think there are already enough comments. But if you want fewer, feel free to abstain.

        Merry Christmas!

      • Kenny P

I come here often to read Mike M’s comments.

        • Richard

          Husbands don’t count.

          • The Constitutionalist

I think yours would be disappointed to hear that.

  • Robert Mowbray

I would like to see news on the continuing degradation of the environment – watershed degradation vs stream degradation, spreading invasive exotics, trash on trails and roadsides, idling motors at schools and shopping areas, lack of interest in the environment, etc.
