  • All over Reston

One of the most underreported stories in Reston has to do with pan handling and how aggressive it has become. Recently I noticed a man stepping into oncoming traffic at South Lakes and gesturing the driver to roll down their windows. Out of ten of these incidents five did, and at least two gave a donation of sort. If we allow this sort of thing to continue we will soon face the same crime statistics as Mexico or Brazil. I ve never seen this kind of behaviour in the US before, but apparently the locals appreciate and support it. It seems like the bad actors have caught onto this generosity and are now flocking to Reston to ply their trade. Thanks for rolling out the welcome mat!

It’s county wide (mostly) not just a Reston thing. I’m in Tyson’s every Saturday morning. Seems every corner is occupied.
Seen the same thing in A-dale, Springfield, and Burke.
