    What if we had no Metro? I would barely notice it now. My office is only three miles from my home.

    I will say that for most of the 15 years I did commute downtown, though, it was a gawdsend. That, and my motorcycles.

      How many close calls per month on a motor cycle? My guess, between 1 and 3.

        Nah. That’s with my truck. Less frequently on the scooter. In the city, I enjoy a freedom of movement that cars do not, and on 66/Toll Road, I get to use HOV (and for free still on the new, improved HOT 66).
