Modell’s Sporting Goods To Close in Plaza America

A major vacancy is coming soon to Plaza America.

Large black and yellow signs now blanket Modell’s Sporting Goods (11680 Plaza America Drive), signaling the store’s closure after it lost its lease.

Signs read that a sale with “drastic reductions” is in effect.

A company representative for the family-operated chain, which offers athletic equipment, footwear and clothing, did not immediately return a request for comment from Reston Now.

The store’s last day of business is not known.
