North Shore Drive Re-Paving Work Begins Monday

by Dave Emke — July 7, 2017 at 1:30 pm 8 Comments

Beginning Monday, traffic and parking on North Shore Drive will be limited as re-paving work is done.

According to signs posted on the road, the work is scheduled for July 10 through Aug. 10. Parking limitations will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. each day while the work is being conducted.

The work will be done on the entire 3.53-mile length of the road. As part of the re-paving project, lines will be painted on the road to create bike lanes and add sharrows.

Paving projects have already been completed this season on North Village Road and a small portion of Wiehle Avenue. More paving will take place this summer on roads including Colts Neck Road, Glade Drive and Twin Branches Road.

Shouldn’t we have a charrette to consider our sharrows?

    😉

It’s a Reston Liberal thing. You wouldn’t understand. (Could be they don’t want you to.)

Good way to finally get all the cars with no stickers or tags, illegally parked by our Section 8 friends at Crescent Apartments off the road.

So does anyone know what’s going on at Colts Neck Road?? When I saw all that heavy equipment arriving on the scene about a month ago, I thought they were getting ready to repave the road (which needs it REALLY bad!), only to find out it looks like they’re building something just across from Hunters Woods Shopping Center. Perhaps they’re waiting until that’s finished before they repave the road? Confused…

But where are all of the construction workers from the town center going to park? Oh wait… thats not a thing that happens apparently :/
