Local police now armed with Narcan — In order to tackle the growing opioid epidemic, local police are now equipped with protective equipment that could reverse overdoses, including the popular use of Narcan. [Fairfax County Police Department]

If you’re a tennis fan — Reston Association is organizing a trip to the U.S. Open tennis championships on August 30. The trip is $190 for RA members and $200 for all others. [Reston Association]

Confession letter surfaces in the murder of Reston couple — “The alleged neo-Nazi teen accused of killing a Reston couple inside their home wrote a confession letter, ABC7 has learned. In new documents obtained in the case, the search warrant says the teenager “devolved in detail his actions on the night of this murder. Detectives believe the letter was mailed during the spring to a classmate at the Dominion School, which is now called the Kellar School.” [WJLA]

Why is there only a $10 difference in the RA member vs. non-member price for the US Open tennis tournament? First, our dues should be subsidizing to a modest degree. Second, non-members should be paying at least a 25% premium?

Our dues should not be subsidizing events like this or anything else!

I’d like to know exactly what the fixed portion of the trip cost, including staff costs, how many participants paid at each price, and whether the RA made a profit or incurred a loss.

I wonder how many shares of Narcan KP frontloaded prior to his active involvement and blog entry. After all, by his own admission his salary is peanuts.

The price for a package of two auto-injectors in the US, however, has increased from $690 in 2014 to $4,500 in 2016

Is the guard rail along the lake anne dam every going to be fixed, or is the mangled up galvanized steel, orange barrels, and yellow caution tape Reston’s newest public art exhibit?

”… including the popular use of Narcan.”

    That paragraph is a mess.
