Local police have arrested four suspects in connection with a robbery at 7-Eleven (10508 Leesburg Pike).
Police believe four people entered the store, displayed a handgun and stole cash from the registers on Monday, July 1 at 2:38 a.m.
After the suspects left in a car, a lookout was broadcasted to neighboring jurisdictions. Deputies from the Loudoun County’s Sheriff’s Office arrested the suspects.

In a separative incident, a Realtor entered a home on the 11300 block of Geddys Court to discover a man sleeping in one of the bedrooms.
The man, who police described as white and in his 20s, ran off before officers arrived.
A burglary was also reported on the 9600 block of Perkins Farm Lane on June 27 at around 7 p.m. Cash and jewelry was taken from the home.
Another home burglary was reported on the 1600 block of Admirals Hills Court on June 22 at around 5:30 p.m. It’s unclear if anything was taken from the home.

Local police have new leads on a pornography and unlawful recording case involving a former drama teacher at Herndon High School.
The Fairfax County Police Department is holding a press conference at 4 p.m. today (Wednesday) after they identified juvenile victims unlawfully recorded by Raphael Schklowsky.
Schklowsky, who already had earlier charges related to unlawful filming, is facing 20 felony charges of possession of child pornography and one felony charge of unlawful filming.Â
Detectives discovered more than 3,500 videos on multiple electronic devices, police said. Schklowsky, 36, was originally charged with four misdemeanor counts of unlawful filming on April 8.Â
Schklowsky has been on leave since his April 8 arrest. He was initially charged in early April when a woman told police she found a hidden camera inside an air conditioning vent in a home where she was working. Detectives found evidence of unlawful filming and arrested Schklowsky.
No other information was immediately available.

A 17-year-old from Maryland was arrested in connection with a carjacking on Sunrise Valley Drive last week.
On Monday, May 13, police say that a masked suspect pointed a shotgun at a man who was putting air into his car’s tires and demanded the keys.
The suspect drove away in the stolen car, but police caught up with him a short while later.
The teen was caught with the help of the police’s K9 team, according to the Fairfax County Police Department. He was charged with carjacking and the use of a firearm in commission of a felony.
In a separate incident, a man entered a home on the 2600 block of New Concorde Court on Wednesday, May 15 at around 3:50 a.m.
Residents discovered the man in their garage after they heard the garage door open. The man ran away when one resident confronted him.
Nothing was reported missing, police said.

Local police did investigate a report of a gunshot on April 30.
One round was shot into the ground on the 1500 block of Cameron Crescent Drive, according to the Fairfax County Police Department.

Countywide, FCPD is reminding residents to take safety precautions when they go outside after two women were assaulted on Centreville walking trails last month:
- Run, jog or walk in areas that are familiar to you.
- If you are walking in an unfamiliar location, bring a friend along with you.
- Avoid running, jogging or walking in a poorly lit or secluded area or after dark.
- Tell someone where you’ll be and share your GPS location with them.
- Do not wear headphones or earbuds.
- Switch up your route and pattern so your actions aren’t predictable.
- Be aware of your surroundings.

Fairfax County’s violent crime rate dipped slightly this year over last year, according to data compiled by the police department.
FCPD’s annual report finds that violence crime rates decreased between 2017 and 2018 for homicide, rape, robbery and aggravated assault.
The data, which were released Friday, show that homicide decreased from 201to 13, rape decreased from 98 to 92, and robbery decreased from 428 to 354. Aggravated assault also dipped from 283 to 260. Of FCPD’s eight police districts, the Reston District stations fell on the lower end for the number of driving while intoxicated arrests for last year.
Movement is also expected on a body worn camera pilot program that had a test run in Reston last year. FCPD Chief Edwin Roessler plans to share findings about the program — compiled in partnership with American University researchers —Â with the Fairfax County Board of Supervisor this year.

This week, the Fairfax County Police Department did not report any major incidents. However, a string of larcenies involving items taken from cars over a three-day period caught our attention.

A burglar broke into a home and took off with valuables, police said.
The burglary was reported in a home on the 11500 block of Cypress Point Court at around 7:42 p.m. on April 19 (Friday), according to the Fairfax County Police Department.
Police believe someone entered the home and stole personal items. The investigation is ongoing.

A parking dispute turned violent in Reston last week, police said.
Two people got into an argument in the parking lot of McDonalds at 11265 Roger Bacon Drive on April 11 at around 9:37 a.m., according to the Fairfax County Police Department.
“The victim got out of their car and tried to block the other car from leaving by standing in front of it. The driver allegedly struck the victim in the leg with his car and left the scene,” FCPD said.
No injuries were reported and the police are treating the incident as an assault. It’s unclear if the driver was charged.

(Updated at 2:33 p.m.) Loudoun County recently had a pair of arrests of Herndon residents for public intoxication.
Loudoun County police were called to Ashburn on Saturday (Nov. 17) around 8:35 a.m. for a report of a man walking in the roadway at the intersection of Loudoun County Parkway and Waxpool Road.
Juan V. Berrueta-Clement, 43, of Herndon was arrested and charged with public intoxication, according to the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office. He has since been released from the Loudoun County Adult Detention Center on an unsecured bond.
In a separate incident, another Herndon resident was arrested on Nov. 10 and charged with public intoxication. Police responded to a report of Isaias Serano, 30, acting confrontational with security officers at Town Center Plaza in Sterling. Serano was released from the Loudoun County Adult Detention Center on an unsecured bond.
Over in Fairfax County, a dozen larcenies occurred last week.

The discovery of a body on the 1500 block of Browns Chapel Road remains under investigation.
The Fairfax County Police Department has not released any additional details about the incident. The body was found the morning of Nov. 2. No information about the nature of the investigation was available as of today (Tuesday).

A fight between two men in a parking lot on the 45000 block of Waterview Plaza in Sterling resulted in an arrest on Oct. 27, according to the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office.
Michael, Nguyen, 43, of Herndon, was arrested and charged with obstruction of justice, disorderly conduct, and public intoxication. Law enforcement officials said Nguyen was fighting with another man in the area at around 9:30 p.m. When a sheriff’s deputy tried to stop the fight, Nguyen struggled with the deputy and continue to try to hit the victim again.
Nguyen was released from the Loudoun County Adult Detention Center on an unsecured bond.
In a separate incident, a drunk man was found lying on a dirt path near the 2000 block of Parkside Circle in Sterling on Oct. 27 at around 3:41 p.m., according to the LCSO.
Nicholas Meekins, 35, of Reston, was arrested and charged with public intoxication. He was released from the Loudoun County Adult Detention Center on an unsecured bond.

Two Sterling residents were arrested Saturday night in connection with a shoplifting incident at Target (12197 Sunset Hills Road).
According to the Fairfax County Police Department, Naim Arrak, 21, ran away from police after he left the store with stolen goods. Officers quickly caught up with Arrak and found a woman, Ashley Loza, 18, waiting for him in a nearby car.
Loza was charged with grand larceny and Arrak was charged with grand larceny, larceny with intent to sell, possession of schedule two narcotics and possession of schedule four narcotics.
In a separate incident, a woman receiving medical care in an ambulance allegedly assaulted a firefighter on Oct. 17. at around 4:16 p.m.
Linda Klotz, 59, of Centreville, pulled a firefighter down onto the gurney and caused several minor injuries. She was charged with assault on a firefighter, according to police.

The Fairfax County Police Department is investigating an indecent exposure incident that took place on Wednesday (Oct. 10) on the 11700 block of Sunrise Valley Drive.
A woman went out to take the trash when she saw a man expose himself to her. The victim called her boyfriend, who attempted to find the man. Police described the man as a white man with a medium build, between 30 and 40 years of age, and between 5’7” and 5’8”. He has curly, reddish-brown hair, and was wearing glasses. The investigation is ongoing.
Two home burglaries were reported on Thursday (Oct. 11). Local police responded to an alarm on the 1100 block of Mountain Hope Court at around 1:32 p.m. to discover that someone broke into the home. Property was stolen.
Another burglary on the 9700 block of Lindsay Blake Lane was reported the same day at around 6:20 p.m. The victim came home to find that several items had been taken. Both incidents are under investigation.

A stranger was founding lingering in the back of a home on the 12100 block of Stirrup Road on Oct. 1 at around 11:34 a.m.
The homeowner found the man after she heard her dog bark, according to the Fairfax County Police Department.
He drove away in a dark silver or gray sedan when she approached him. Police said he is white, roughly 55 years old, 6′ tall and around 180 pounds. He also has gray hair and a short beard.

Local law enforcement also advises drivers to be on the alert for deer. Fall is breeding season and almost half of all crashes with deer happen during October, November and December.
A police officer who last worked in the Reston District Station and was charged in connection with the death of his six-month-old daughter was fired on Friday (Sept. 28).
Fairfax County Police Chief Edwin Roessler Jr. fired Jason Colley, 38, following his arrest in Maryland in connection with the baby’s death, according to the Fairfax County Police Department.
Colley, of Monrovia, Md., turned himself in after an indictment was signed in late August by a Maryland judge. He was charged with child abuse in the first degree resulting in death, child abuse in the first degree resulting in severe physical injury and felony assault in the first degree. The baby died on in October last year.
Roessler Jr. called the charges against Colley “abhorrent.” No other information was released by the police department about the incident.
Colley was relieved of all law enforcement powers on April 20 when Fairfax County police learned he was a suspect in the care.
In a separate incident, a man was robbed on Friday while walking near Hunters Woods Shopping Center at around 1:30 p.m. The suspect assaulted the victim and stole personal items from him when he said he did not have any money. Police described the suspect as a white male approximately 5’11” – 6’2″ and about 150 to 180 pounds.Â
Sometime between Sept. 18 and 26, a man was found sleeping inside a vacant house on the 12000 block of Kinsley Place. The owner of the house discovered a man in his 20s who appeared to be sleeping inside the home as it underwent repairs, according to police.
